Jim Herperger

Jim Herperger was born and raised in Williams Lake before attending Douglas College in Vancouver, then UBC & Simon Fraser University. He transferred to the University of Victoria to complete law school.

He began his legal career with Norton Stewart and Scarlett in Vancouver before arriving Kelowna in 1987 to join Berge Thiessen, a predecessor to FH&P Lawyers. Before retiring, he was awarded the prestigious title of QC and is the only one within the firm to ever hold that distinction.

In 2014, the firm morphed, taking the “H” in Herperger and included it into the new branding of FH&P Lawyers.

When he practiced, Jim was a solicitor practising in bank security, wills and estates, and in the last 15 years of his career, he was almost exclusively dealing with Wills, Estates, Trusts and Elder Law.

Jim retired from practicing law in 2017.
