AMANDA HAUGAN
Experience and Education
Amanda grew up in Prince Rupert, BC. She attended the University of British Columbia where she received her Bachelor of Science with a minor in Arts. Prior to entering law school, Amanda worked in Prince Rupert for the Canadian Grain Commission. Amanda completed the first portion of her law degree at Bond University in Australia before transferring to the University of Toronto where she received her Juris Doctor in 2009. Amanda joined FH&P Lawyers in August 2009, was called to the British Columbia Bar in May 2010. and intends to develop and maintain a general practice.
Amanda summered as a research assistant for Professor Colleen Flood at the University of Toronto, conducting research focused on health policy and the public/private divide in healthcare. Amanda is the co-author of Is Canada Odd? A Comparison of European and Canadian Approaches which is scheduled for publication later this year in the Journal of Health Economics, Policy and Law.
Community Activities
In Amanda’s spare time she enjoys playing Women’s Soccer, volleyball and baking.
