An important date for employers who were forced to temporary layoff staff due to COVID-19 is quickly approaching.
The period for temporary laid-off staff ends on August 30, 2020. If employers wish to keep their employees after August 30th they will need to apply for a variance. Otherwise employers could be forced to pay employees a severance package.
