The “Power of Attorney” is a legal document for advance planning in British Columbia. The document gives power from one competent adult, also called the donor, to another adult called the agent or attorney to do certain things or take actions on the donor's behalf regarding financial and legal matters.
However, there are laws and rules that a Power of Attorney must abide by since this primarily deals with one person’s finances while they are still alive.
