Welcome Clarissa Lester

FH&P Lawyers has had great success with articled students in the past. As a matter of fact, four former students are now lawyers within the Firm, including Heidi Taylor, Dylan Switzer, Colin Flannigan and Andrea Meyers.

Effective immediately, FH&P would like to welcome Clarissa Lester, who has begun her articles in the Kelowna office.

Originally from Bellingham, Washington, Clarissa attended the University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus here in Kelowna for her undergraduate. For her third year, she decided to travel abroad to Munich, Germany, and attend Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich for a year. She then returned to BC and enrolled at the University of Victoria for law school and received her Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

“I really wanted to article with FH&P,” said Clarissa. “I like the culture, and how involved the Firm is with the community. I’ve been wanting to article here since my first year of law school, so I’m happy it worked out.”

This will be her first experience in a law firm, and she is most interested in solicitor work, mainly in corporate law and real estate.  She will get a chance to work with all the lawyers, but partner Doug Flannigan is her principal.

Outside of the workday, Clarissa enjoys yoga, travelling and wine tasting.
