Junior Associate

We are looking for a junior associate with at least one year of litigation experience to join us as a general civil litigator. We have a beautiful office in downtown Kelowna; a competitive compensation package; excellent staff and a fun, collegial workplace.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • At least one year civil litigation experience, preferably in BC.
  • LLB or JD and be a lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia (or able to apply),

  • A commitment to the highest standards of integrity, client service and collegiality.

Administrative Support

We are seeking a candidate for an entry level, permanent full-time position in the Office Services department. The applicant will be working in a team environment and will be responsible for providing administrative support to a professional staff. The responsibilities may include:

  • Relief reception duties - answering and transferring calls /greeting and welcoming clients.
  • General administrative duties may include: mail distribution and processing incoming and outgoing mail; photocopying; hand deliveries to the Courthouse, various banks, law firms and agencies in the downtown area; closing files, including sending files to off-site storage and retrieval; keeping the reception area and meeting rooms clean and tidy; and to perform various other tasks as required.

Required qualifications:

  • High school education (prior office experience would be an asset)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills
  • Dedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative and independence
  • Excellent organizational skills; highly organized; ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision
  • General understanding of personal computers and software, in particular Microsoft Word and Outlook, would be an asset
  • Professional attitude and appearance
