EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Jill is originally from Vancouver and she and her family have lived in Kelowna since 1999. Jill graduated from UBC Law School in 1986 and practiced first in Vancouver and then in Surrey where she was a founding partner in her own firm. Her litigation practice focuses on personal injury, estate litigation, wrongful dismissal and employment issues, commercial disputes and conflict resolution. She is a qualified mediator and member of the civil roster with Mediate BC. Jill is also a skills coach with the Justice Institute of BC and formerly an Adjunct Professor with UBCO teaching POLI 432 “Contemporary Issues in Law” from 2016-2020. Her experience as an adjudicator includes the EAAT hearing panels related to income assistance and in 2016 she was appointed to the Law Society’s disciplinary panel.
In April of 2020 Jill was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Kelowna Art Gallery. She has been on the organizing committee and a coach for the Roger Watts Debates since 2015.
When she’s not in the office Jill and her family enjoy all the recreation the Okanagan has to offer, especially skiing in the winter and cycling in the summer.
