With offices in Kelowna, West Kelowna, and Penticton, and lawyers based across the Valley; most recently adding Vernon and the lower mainland, we are proud to serve our clients with practical, trusted, and forward-thinking legal solutions. Our Real Estate team is known for delivering practical advice, exceptional client service, and efficient transaction management. We are seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join our growing team.

The Opportunity

Join FH&P Lawyers in Kelowna and be part of a team that lives our values of integrity, innovation, and excellence. The Conveyancer will manage residential real estate transactions from file opening through to completion and reporting, working closely with lawyers, legal assistants, clients, lenders, and real estate professionals. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and provide a high level of client service throughout the transaction process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage residential purchase, sale, refinance, and transfer transactions from opening to closing.
  • Review contracts of purchase and sale, mortgage instructions, title searches, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and register Land Title Office documents through BC electronic filing systems.
  • Draft statements of adjustments and closing documentation.
  • Communicate with clients, realtors, lenders, and opposing counsel throughout transactions.
  • Coordinate funding and completion of transactions.
  • Prepare reporting packages and final accounts.
  • Maintain accurate file records and ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist lawyers with complex real estate and development matters as required.
  • Work as a supportive team member including providing vacation/sick coverage

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of residential conveyancing experience ideally in British Columbia.
  • Strong understanding of BC real estate conveyancing procedures.
  • Experience using conveyancing software and BC electronic filing systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple files while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate in Punjabi would be an asset
