Colin was born and raised in Kelowna graduating from Kelowna Senior Secondary. After graduating high school he moved to Edmonton and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta in 2007. His life course then took him to Saskatoon to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2013.

During the summer break from school, Colin was a summer student in 2011 and then an articled student with FH&P Lawyers in 2013. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2014.

He is an avid soccer fan and has attended three World Cups in Germany (2006), South Africa (2010) and Brazil (2014). When not in the office he loves spending time in the outdoors hiking and getting on the lake with his family and two dogs Oliver and puppy Chester.
