Dustin Merritt

Dustin was born and raised in Penticton. He obtained a business degree from Western University in 2011 and a law degree from the University of Calgary in 2014.

Dustin practises in the area of corporate and commercial law. He regularly advises business owners on incorporations, business purchase and sale transactions, shareholders’ agreements, and lending transactions. He represents commercial landlords and tenants in leasing matters, including drafting and negotiating commercial lease agreements and renewals.

Prior to joining FH&P, Dustin practised in the Business Law group of a leading national law firm in Calgary and worked as in-house counsel for start-up and growth companies. His experience enables Dustin to better understand client needs and offer practical and strategic solutions that balance legal and business interests.

Outside of the office, Dustin enjoys skiing, volleyball, and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks.
