When she was 10, Heidi Taylor moved to Kelowna with her family and has not left. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology in 2000 from Okanagan University College before receiving her Bachelor of Laws degree in 2003 from the University of British Columbia.
Heidi was called to the British Columbia Bar and became an associate with FH&P Lawyers in 2004, then joined the partnership in 2011.
She assists her clients in resolving family law matters including parenting issues (custody), child support, spousal support, and property division. She has a general law practice background which provides her with a unique skill set to address complex support and property division matters, including those involving professional practices and family businesses.
Heidi is an active member of the Okanagan Collaborative Family Group with an emphasis on dispute resolution through mediation and negotiation. As a matter of fact, she became a qualified family law mediator in 2019. Where matters cannot be resolved outside of court, Heidi regularly appears before the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court and she also has experience in the Court of Appeal.
