Articled students at FH&P Lawyers are quickly integrated in all facets of our firm’s practice. We work in a team environment and provide students with hands-on experience with partners and associates.
Students will be helped through the transition from “law school” problem solving to problem solving with clients. Translating legal research and analysis into clear and effective solutions is an important lesson that our students will learn quickly. Several vital elements of a good legal practice will also be learned firsthand including the effective organization and presentation of opinions and ideas, implementing solutions and the development of other practical skills like drafting, advocacy and practice management.
Articled students at our firm are actively included in firm meetings and events, and in all respects are treated as essential members of our team.
We have had a great track record with the students that article at FH&P Lawyers. Partners Heidi Taylor (2003) and Dylan Switzer (2007) along with Associates Colin Flannigan (2013), Andrea Meyes (2019) and Clarissa Lester (2022) each articled and then were hired by the Firm.
