Welcome Alexis Mawko

FH&P Lawyers is pleased to welcome Alexis Mawko as a new Associate to the Firm practicing in Family Law, Real Estate transactions and Estate Planning.

"I am extremely excited to have joined the FH&P team," says Alexis. "All of the friendly faces and warm welcomes have assured me that I have joined a firm that will be a pleasure to work at, and an ideal environment to grow in my career."

Alexis attended Carleton University in Ottawa where she earned her bachelor's degree in 2018. She remained in nation's capital and attended the University of Ottawa for law school.

Always seeking out hands-on experiences throughout law school, Alexis was a family law caseworker for the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, offering pro-bono legal services to the public, and she placed first in the provincial Arnup Cup Trial Advocacy Moot.

She obtained her Juris Doctor (JD) degree in 2021 and completed her articles in Ottawa. She was called to the Ontario bar in June 2022 and later called to the British Columbia bar in July 2022.

“Our Firm continues to grow with the right people, and our partnership is thrilled to have Alexis join our team,” says Managing Partner Dylan Switzer. “She is a young enthusiastic lawyer and she will fit perfectly with our team and be a valuable member of our community overall as we continue to expand our services throughout the Okanagan and BC Interior.”

When not in the office Alexis enjoys all the Okanagan has to offer including biking, enjoy a tasting at a local winery or starting a new art project.
